2-pin to 3-pin fan adapter – 30 cm

AABCOOLING AAB C18 is a 30 cm cable with a female 3-pin plug on one end and a male 2-pin connector on the other. It lets you connect a fan with a 2-pin plug to a 3-pin header, e.g. on the motherboard. It carries power only: the red wire is positive (+) and the black wire is negative (−).

Application and compatibility

The adapter is useful when a fan has a 2-pin plug – e.g. a fan taken from a graphics card – and you want to power it from a 3-pin header, e.g. on the motherboard.

Only the two power contacts are fitted in the 3-pin plug – the speed signal pin stays unconnected, so the motherboard will not read the fan speed.
