Budget 120 mm fan

AABCOOLING Fan 12 is a 120 mm fan from the AABCOOLING economy series. It runs at a constant speed of 2000 rpm (±10%), and the noise generated by the blades and bearing is approx. 25 dB(A).

The fan uses a sleeve bearing – the simplest and cheapest design, with a shorter service life. For this reason, the warranty on this model is 3 months.

Applications

AABCOOLING Fan 12 can be used as a computer case fan or as a replacement for a noisy power supply fan. Case cooling works by expelling warm air – the power supply fan alone often cannot provide good cooling, despite running at high speed and making a lot of noise.

Mounting and connection

The fan is fixed with four screws, just like standard fans in power supplies (hole spacing 105 × 105 mm), so a noisy fan can be replaced quickly. Ways to connect it in a power supply:

• connect the 4-pin Molex plug to a Molex connector of the power supply – thanks to the pass-through, the same connector can still power another device,
• the safest option is to cut off the 4-pin Molex plug and solder the power cable directly inside the power supply (voltage control by the power supply).

Cutting off or taking apart the plug voids the right to return the product.
