AABCOOLING Super Silent Fan 5 is a quiet fan measuring 50 x 50 x 11 mm. It runs at 3500 rpm ±10%. Airflow is 14.45 m³/h and the noise level is 17.5 dB. The modern FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) ensures smooth, quiet operation and a lifespan of 100,000 h.

Applications

With dimensions of 50 x 50 x 11 mm, the fan fits where space is tight – for example to cool the motherboard chipset. It also works well in electronics housed in small enclosures, such as set-top boxes, tuners, amplifiers and power converters.

FDB bearing – quiet and durable

• No friction and a longer lifespan – ordinary sleeve bearings rub and heat up, which shortens their life.
• Vibrations are damped by the oil.
• Practically the only source of noise is the fan blades.
• Protection against oil leakage.
• Spiral oil distribution ensures even lubrication – the oil does not collect in one part of the bearing.
• The same bearing technology is used in hard drives.

Installation and connection

The fan is fixed with four screws, just like standard power supply fans, so it can quickly replace a noisy fan.

• Direct connection (e.g. inside a power supply) after removing the 3-pin plug: the black wire is ground (–), the red wire is power (+) and the yellow wire carries the speed signal. Without the yellow wire, the BIOS cannot read the speed. A product with a removed plug cannot be returned.
