AABCOOLING Super Silent Fan 8 PWM is a quiet fan measuring 80 x 80 x 25 mm. Its speed is adjusted automatically by the PWM signal from the motherboard in the range of 600–2000 rpm ±10%. Airflow is 30–56 m³/h and the noise level is 9.5–17.9 dB(A). The modern FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) ensures smooth, quiet operation and a lifespan of 100,000 h.

Applications

Case cooling works by expelling warm air – and the power supply fan alone is often not enough, despite high speed and loud operation. The Super Silent Fan 8 PWM solves this problem. It can be mounted on a PC case panel, inside an ATX power supply or on a CPU heatsink in place of a noisy fan.

FDB bearing – quiet and durable

• No friction and a longer lifespan – ordinary sleeve bearings rub and heat up, which shortens their life.
• Vibrations are damped by the oil.
• Practically the only source of noise is the fan blades.
• Protection against oil leakage.
• Spiral oil distribution ensures even lubrication – the oil does not collect in one part of the bearing.
• The same bearing technology is used in hard drives.

Installation and connection

The fan is fixed with four screws, just like standard power supply fans, so it can quickly replace a noisy fan.

• Connection to the motherboard – route the cable (30 cm) into the power supply through any gap; the current fan speed can be read in the BIOS.
• Direct connection inside a power supply after removing or cutting off the 4-pin plug: the black wire is ground (–), the red wire is power (+). In most power supplies these two wires are enough – the yellow (speed signal) and blue or green (PWM control) wires are not needed. A product with a removed plug cannot be returned.
• The 4-pin PWM connector is compatible with 3-pin headers – in that case the fan runs without automatic speed control.
