Quiet 80 mm fan with FDB bearing
AABCOOLING Super Silent R8 is a quiet 80 × 80 × 25 mm fan with seven dynamically profiled blades that deliver smooth, quiet operation and good performance. It runs at a fixed speed of 1600 rpm (±10%) and delivers an airflow of 33 m³/h at a noise level of just 13.9 dB(A).

Quiet operation is ensured by a modern FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) with a service life of 100,000 hours – much longer than sleeve bearings. The package includes mounting screws, anti-vibration pads and a 12 V / 9 V power adapter that lowers the speed and noise.
Key features
- Quiet operation – 13.9 dB(A)
- Airflow – 33 m³/h
- FDB bearing – 100,000 h service life
- Modern IC motor
- Black sleeved cable, 3-pin plug
- 12 V / 9 V adapter included – lower speed and even quieter operation
- Mounting screws and anti-vibration pads included

Advantages of the FDB bearing
Ordinary sleeve bearings rub against each other and heat up during operation, which shortens their service life. An FDB bearing offers:
- no friction between bearing parts and a longer service life,
- vibration damping by the oil,
- low noise – practically only the fan blades generate it,
- protection against oil leakage,
- even lubrication thanks to the spiral oil filling,
- a proven design – such bearings are also used in hard drives.
Applications
Case cooling works by expelling warm air to the outside. The power supply fan alone often does not provide sufficient cooling, despite running at high speed and making a lot of noise. AABCOOLING Super Silent R8 is ideal as:
- a PC case fan – including on the side panel,
- a fan for a 80 mm CPU heatsink – a quiet replacement for a noisy fan,
- a quiet replacement for the fan in an ATX power supply.
Installation and connection
The fan is mounted with four screws, just like standard fans in cases and power supplies (hole spacing 70 × 70 mm). This lets you quickly and easily replace a noisy fan with a quieter one.
Ways to connect a fan installed in a power supply:
- connect the fan to a 3-pin header on the motherboard and route the cable (30 cm) into the power supply through a gap – you can then read the fan speed in the BIOS,
- cut off or disassemble the 3-pin plug and connect the fan directly inside the power supply – only the black (ground, −) and red (+) wires are needed; the yellow wire carries the speed signal and is not required in this case. Cutting off or disassembling the plug excludes the possibility of returning the product.
